Visit Munneswaram & Manavari in Chilaw – Transfer Anuradhapura 

Upon arrival, guests will be transferred to Chilaw, which is approximately a 1.5-hour journey. Here, they will have the opportunity to visit the Munneswaram Hindu Temple and the Manavari Hindu Temple in Chilaw. Following this visit, guests will be transferred to Anuradhapura, which is about a 3-hour drive from Chilaw. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided in Anuradhapura, allowing guests to rest and rejuvenate before continuing their journey.

Munneswaram Temple - Place where the King Rama prayed to Shiva. God Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised him to install and praying four lingams at 5 places to get rid of dosham. One of the important Ramayana tour sites in Sri Lanka. Manavari Temple is the first place where Lord Rama installed and prayed the Siva lingam. At present this lingam at Manavari temple is named as Ramalingam as this lingam was erected by Rama. Anuradhapura - Trincomalee

After checking out, guests will embark on a visit to the Anuradhapura Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for approximately 2 hours. Following this, they will be transferred to Trincomalee. In Trincomalee, they will have the opportunity to explore the Thirukoneswaram Temple and Lover’s Leap. A sightseeing city tour will then ensue, encompassing various attractions within Trincomalee. Finally, guests will dine and spend the night at a hotel in Trincomalee, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. 

Anuradhapura is a UNESCO World Heritage and cradle of glorious Sinhalese Buddhist civilization. The pride of place in Anuradhapura was taken by the ancient stupas and ancient reservoirs. Thirukoneswaram Kovil Trincomalee was built by sage Agasthyar as per the instructions of Lord Shiva who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. This place has the uniqueness of the lord building a temple for his devotee as a reward for his devotion.

Trincomalee – Kandy

After checking out, guests will have the opportunity to further explore the attractions in Trincomalee. Following this, they will be transferred to Kandy, with enroute visits to the Dambulla Cave Temple and a spice garden in Matale for lunch. Upon reaching Kandy, guests will visit the Tooth Relic Temple and embark on a sightseeing city tour. Finally, they will dine and spend the night at a hotel in Kandy, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Kandy - An exotic city, the Hill Capital and last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center / Sacred Tooth Relic Temple / Royal Botanical garden. Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. Largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.

Kandy Sight Seeing

During our leisure day on the Sri Lanka Ramayana Tour Packages, which spans 8 days and includes a 2-night stay in Kandy, guests will have the opportunity to explore the city through a sightseeing city tour. Additionally, they will visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kandy. In the evening, guests will have the chance to enjoy a cultural show in Kandy, which takes place daily at 5:30 PM. This leisure day offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration and relaxation in the beautiful city of Kandy.

Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Guests will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya, a journey of approximately 2 hours. Enroute, they will visit the Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda before continuing towards Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, guests will embark on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, exploring its scenic attractions. Finally, dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided in Nuwara Eliya, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay in this charming destination.

Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple - Believed that Hanuman was searching for Sita Devi from a place called “Ravana Goda” close to this Bhakta Hanuman Temple. Key Ramayana site in Sri Lanka.

Nuwara Eliya - Kataragama

Guests will visit the Sita Amman Temple and Askoka Vatika (now known as Hakgala Botnic Gardens) in Nuwara Eliya before proceeding to Kataragama, which is approximately a 4-hour drive away. Enroute, they will stop to visit the Divurumpola Buddhist Temple, Ravana Water Falls, and the Ravana Caves in Ella. Upon reaching Kataragama, guests will enjoy dinner and spend the night, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay in this vibrant destination.

Divurumpola Temple, Place where Sita underwent the famous fire ordeal Agni Pariksha in order to prove her chastity to God Rama after being rescued by him where she came unscathed and proved her innocence and purity. One of the important Ramayana yatra Sri Lanka related site. Sita Amman Temple is the only Hindu Temple which dedicated to Princess Sita in Sri Lanka. Believed that the Sita Devi was kept captive at this site by King Ravana.

Kataragama - Colombo

After visiting the Kataragama Temple, guests will depart for Colombo. Along the way, they will stop to visit the Ussangoda Ramayana Site, located within Ussangoda National Park. Upon reaching Galle, guests will visit the Rumassala Sanjeevani Mountain before exploring the Galle Dutch Fort, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Finally, guests will be transferred to Colombo, where they will enjoy dinner and spend the night, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay in the bustling capital city.

Kataragama temple dedicated to the God Skanda Ussanggoda is one of the torched areas, It is believed that Ussangoda during the time of Ramayana, King Ravana used this flat hard land to travel on his Pushpak Vimana

Departure

During the final day of the tour, guests will visit the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo before embarking on a sightseeing city tour of the capital. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to explore the Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, also known as the Vibhishana Temple Kelaniya. Following these visits, guests will depart, concluding their enriching journey through Sri Lanka. 

Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple - First Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka which dedicated to Lord Hanuman in his Panchamuga form, meaning five faces. This is one of Ramayana tour related site in Sri Lanka.

Kelaniya Vibhishana Temple (Buddhist Temple) Ramayana states that after the death of King Ravana , King Vibhishana was crowned by Lakshmana . So Kelaniya is the place which had been ruled by Vibhishana.
